Divine
The study of the divines and their wills. Those who are vested with the power of the divinities don’t have to pray or perform rituals to call upon miracles. These people are called ‘Saints’ in the World of Indines. The Divinity studies program at Argent is a track that leads to Sainthood.

The seven major Divinities were created by the collective prayers of the humans of Indines–one massive ritual carried out by millions of individuals over ages. Research programs deal with the theoretical creation of new divinities (advents) and the ideal governance of the world. Divinity is the most widely respected form of magic, and is as much about politics and law as it is about rituals and litanies.

  • School of Healing - The study of healing and restoration. Masters of this school are highly sought after in the cities of Indines, and are skilled in the creation of potions and medicines, as well as direct healing. Priests and priestesses who are sainted by different gods manifest different powers. For example, a healer patron of the machine god, Mak’terix , can use divine magic to restore walls, while a healer ordained by the nature goddess Tamaris might be able to restore diseased crops.
  • School of Purification - The study of law, order, and protection. Those who master this art are known as Sages, and serve as protectors and guardians to the people of Indines. These individuals can use the offensive strengths of the gods. For example, a Sage ordained by the goddess of water, Sanghalia , can craft beasts of water to ward off evil, while one who serves the god of Wind, Tridian , might raise gales to drive off invaders.
  • School of Spiritualism - The study of ghosts and spirits. These beings are made of the same stuff as the divinities, though they possess much less power and influence. The school of spiritualism is the study of the ‘physics’ that govern the spiritual world within Indines.
